If so, The Bridge Behavioral Health is currently seeking part-time Recovery Advocates for NIGHT SHIFT. The Bridge Behavioral Health is a 68 bed substance abuse treatment center that has a wide variety of services for those that suffer from substance abuse.

We are looking for a mature, responsible, dependable person to provide direct services to our clients. Must also be a team player with an interest in human services, and work well with law enforcement. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK  NIGHT SHIFTS.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse population while maintaining professional interaction with clients and peers. Drug and alcohol abuse can affect individuals, families and communities - in this position you will provide support, empathy and assistance in working with clients.

Knowledge of sociological and behavioral effects of alcohol and drug abuse preferred, as well as a knowledge of common health issues associated with substance abuse.

EXPERIENCE:
  1. Knowledge of sociological and behavioral effects of alcohol and drug abuse.
  2. Experience working with clients suffering from substance abuse.
  3. Knowledge of mental health issues.
  4. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work with and relate to persons of multiple ethnic, racial, cultural and varied economic backgrounds. 
EDUCATION: Two years of coursework in a human services field and/or two years experience/training in a human services field, or two years of lived recovery experience with demonstrated skills and competencies in treatment with individual with a behavioral health diagnoses; Bachelor's degree or higher in psychology, sociology or a related human service field preferred.
