Job Description

Houses of Hope is looking for a full time Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor in its short term residential treatment program at Touchstone.

Job Description: Provide oversight to all clients in the residential setting. Provide management of Technician staff within the program maintaining adequate oversight. Is responsible for interviewing, hiring, scheduling, orienting, and training all Technician staff. Is responsible for the performance improvement and annual evaluations of all technician staff. Enforcement of facility rules and agency procedures is expected. Work actively and cooperatively with treatment team and technician staff. Strive to maintain a healthy, safe and clean environment for all clients.Maintain accurate records for supervision of personnel. Provide supervision of consumer activities and enforcement of facility rules and procedures. Work actively and cooperatively with treatment team and technician staff.  Primarily Monday through Friday 8-5 shift. May include some weekends depending on staff requirements.

Job Requirements

Requirements: Knowledge of chemical dependency, mental health conditions and 12-step recovery
required. Understanding of sociology, psychology, counseling or related disciplines preferred. Effectively work with clients with co-occurring disorders and a variety of developmental delays. Must possess effective interpersonal and writing skills; adequate for documentation in the clinical setting. Maintain accurate records for supervision of personnel.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to: ascend/descend stairs while transporting up to 25 lbs.; position self by stooping, crouching and kneeling; stand, sit and walk for lengthy periods of time; move to/between different settings; position items up to 50 lbs. by pushing, pulling and or lifting; effectively use senses of smell, touch, speech, hearing and sight.
