Job Description

The Bridge Behavioral Health located in Lincoln, Nebraska, is a professional, national-accredited treatment center specializing in treating addiction to alcohol and/or drugs and the mental health issues that often accompany addiction. We are currently seeking a mature, responsible, reliable Recovery Advocate to work two 12 hour shifts a week working overnight hours or three 12 hour shifts working day hours. Overnight shift is 8:00 pm to 8:00 am.  Day hours would be 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.  Must have some weekend availability.  

Responsibilities of a Recovery Advocate include:

  • Establishes rapport with peers and clients while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Maintains accurate client records in both narrative and statistical form.
  • Provides assistance in the care of clients who are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.
  • Assists with client transportation when necessary.

Requirements of a Recovery Advocate include:

  • Two years of coursework in a human services field and/or two years experience/training in a human services field, or two years of lived recovery experience with demonstrated skills and competencies in treatment with individual with a behavioral health diagnoses
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, sociology or a related human service field preferred.
